From clapping hands to vocal for local – My Analysis

During lockdown in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kept coming up with new ways to amuse the public. First with coming out on the balcony and clapping hand and the next time lighting lamp/candles. This did give hope to the public that something good might happen. And there was a lot of speculation that clapping hand, ringing bells, and utensils will kill the virus and all that. And when he said to light lamps/candles, again there were a lot of speculations.

When reading Chanakya’s Arthashastra I realized, when the people trust, support and follow the King/Administrator, only then policies can be implemented effectively.

In the beginning, when he said to clap hands, light lamps, many people trusted him, followed him, and come out to support him. Many people including me knew it’s not a solution to the virus problem created. But still, millions of people participated and were eagerly waiting for the next task.

My Analysis

When the lockdown was coming to an end, Prime Minister In his speech talked about, Atmanirbhar Bharat – vocal for local. He asked Indian’s to buy products manufactured in India and support local vendors. So, at first, he simply asked people to do simple tasks, and once he knew people are willing to participate. He implemented Atmanirbhar Bharat. By this, the conversation has to begin to Make India a manufacturing hub. And it will be successful if vocal for local spark is alive.
